Festive Foliage colored with Stampin' Blends! |
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am hopping with the Casually Crafting Design Team! This month's theme is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge so there are sure to be quite a few inspirations to get your mojo going with some creativity. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
We had a fun challenge for this month! Can you see the row that I selected?!? Christmas, Foliage, Green - these are the elements from the far left column that I chose to play with for today's project. I love Christmas and have been wanting to make some more cards so this challenge was the excuse I needed to do just that.
Project Details
Center the Fesitive Foliage image on a Stamparatus plate and stamp with Sahara Sand ink onto a piece of Small Grid Paper. Center a 3-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock over the stamped image. Reink the stamp image and stamp on the Very Vanilla cardstock layer. Color the foliage with your colors of choice. I chose Light/Dark Evening Evergreen, Light/Dark Soft Succulent, Light Mint Macaron and Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Markers. After coloring the image, adhere it to a slightly larger Crumb Cake cardstock layer.
Stamp the Tidings & Trimmings sentiment with Sahara Sand ink onto a small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Layer onto Crumb Cake and Evening Evergreen cardstock layers. Wrap the Crumb Cake Baker's Twine around the colored card layers twice and tie off with a bow. Adhere the sentiment layers with Stampin' Dimensionals and adjust the bow as needed. Embellish with Genial Gems. Adhere to an Evening Evergreen card base.
To complete the card, inside layers and stamping were replicated to compliment the card front with plenty of room to correspond to the recipient. The envelope front and flap were stamped to compliment the card.More Inspiration
I hope you have been inspired by my project and the design elements. Now it's time to continue along the blog hop - you're currently with me, Angie McKenzie, at #9 - to get more inspiration from the others... so look at the list below and continue along. You definitely don't want to miss any.
