Today's Project
Project Details
Inspired by a color challenge that my upline gave us at a team meeting last week, Crushed Curry was just calling me to spread some sunshine with these amazing dahlias! The distinktive dahlia image was stamped with Crushed Curry ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Using the Stamparatus was a must to get the best possible image multiple times on the stamped layer. Using Clear Block C, the distinktive leaves were stamped with Soft Succulent ink randomly around the stamped dahlias.
On a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, two additional dahlias were stamped, fussy-cut and layered. Two additional leaves were also stamped, fussy-cut and adhered to the fussy-cut dahlia. The stamped layer as adhered to a slightly larger Crumb Cake layer. Linen Thread was wrapped around the layers twice and tied off with a bow. The bow was scooted around a bit to fall just right around the dahlia. The sentiment was stamped with Soft Succulent ink on a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, fish-tailed on the right side with Paper Snips and adhered amongst layered dahlia. The layered dahlia was adhered to the Linen Thread, keeping the edges loose and free. Gold Metallic Pearls were added as a finishing touch.
The inside layers were replicated to compliment the front. A scrap piece was used as an accent. The detailed dahlia was also stamped on the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope front and flap. The Biggest Wish sentiment seemed the perfect touch for communicating to the recipient.
