Today's Project

Making projects is something that I personally have a challenge with so I couldn't resist having a go with this theme!  The Artistically Inked Bundle was an amazing grouping to play with to create some sparkle... along with a SNEAK PEEK of the Heartfelf Wishes Stamp Set in the upcoming July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.

 

Project Details

The bouquet from the Artisitc Dies was used to create a Christmas bouquet covered with Gilded Leafing.  Adhere a 3-3/4" x 4"piece of Basic White cardstock to a piece of Adhesive Sheet and die-cut with the bouquet die.  Remove the backing and press into the Gilded Leafing (preferably in a large container).  Dust off with a sponge, a water painter or your fingers.  The gilded leafing fluffs up and spreads so use sparingly to keep it contained; otherwise, you will have gilded leafing everywhere.  

The gilded die-cut was adhered to a Painted Texture embossed Basic White background to let it sparkle even more.  A SNEAK PEEK of the new Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set (page 57 in July-December 2021 Mini Catalog) is what created the heat embossed sentiment across a 3/4" strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  A few Metallic Pearls add a bit more sparkle.

An extra layer of Cherry Cobbler cardstock added to the Cherry Cobbler cardbase and this is all that is needed for this Christmas card.  But wait! 

Replicate the layers and mix of stamping between the two stamp sets with some Cherry Cobbler ink and you have a beautifully stamped insert for your handmade card.  Stamping the Basic White Medium Envelope on the front and the flap makes a perfect sneak peek for the recipient of what's inside.

The Evening Evergreen cardbase was highlighted with a vellum alcohol inked background adhered to a Basic White background with Adhesive Sheet.  The vellum background was created by randomly applying Evening Green ink with the Stampin' Blends onto vellum and spritzing it with rubbing alcohol (higher percentages work best), moving the vellum to let the alcohol and the ink due their magic.  A heat tool can assist with the dry time and the creation of veins.  The same process was repeated with applying Cherry Cobbler ink.  The two colors were done separately to keep the colors as true to color as possible. 

An Evening Evergreen overlay layer was created using the leaf die from the Artistic Dies.  The Heartfelt Wishes sentiment was heat embossed on a 3/4" strip of Evening Evergreen.  A splatter of Clear Wink of Stella added a touch of sparkle to this thank you card that could be used year round.

Replicate the layers and mix of stamping between the two stamp sets with some generational stamping using Evening Evergreen ink and you have a beautifully stamped insert for your handmade card.  Stamping the Basic White Medium Envelope on the front and the flap makes a perfect sneak peek for the recipient of what's inside.
