Inspired by the Fresh Freesia Color Coach |
Today's Project
Today's project was quite fun to create using these coordinating colors from the Color Coach! I selected the middle row as Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral reminded me of the colors I loved decorating with during my early adult years. Flashback to late 1980s... coral and seafoam were my favorite go to colors for everything! With my love of nature, it was natural to grab the Quiet Meadow Bundle for this amazing color combination.
Project Details
The wildflowers were die-cut from Basic White Thick cardstock. The blooms of each die-cut were colored with a damp Water Painter using Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral ink. The colored die-cuts were arranged on the complimentary stamped Basic White card layer which was adhered to a same color card layer.
The Quiet Meadow sentiment was inked in each color and die-cut with the Meadows label die. White Baker's Twine was looped through the left side of the die-cut label and wrapped around the card layers. A smaller piece of White Baker's Twine was looped through the right and tied off with a bow. The tied card layers were adhered to the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (SNEAK PEEK from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog). All layers were adhered to the Basic White Thick card base.
The layers and die-cuts were replicated in each card to compliment the card fronts. The envelope fronts and flaps were also stamped to complete the ensemble.
More Inspiration
I hope that you have enjoyed this inspiration using the Color Coach as your inspiration for colors as you create your own cards to send to others. Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration with my friend, Tania across the waters! She's on the 2021 Artisan Design Team and has an amazing birthday card to share with you using another one of my favorite bundles - Artistically Inked... you'll love it, I'm sure.
Gorgeous projects Angie! I love the texture with embossing. Beautiful!
