Hey y'all! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing things related to our Splish, Splash theme! There are so many ways to show water in our cards... I have chosen to focus on rain and puddles!
Today's Project
Inspired by the No Matter the Weather Card Kit (available while supplies last), I couldn't resist pulling out my unopened Paper Pumpkin kit from last year with the same name before I created today's project!
Can't you just hear the sound of the raindrops as they fall from the sky and the splash of the water puddles left behind?!? The current No Matter the Weather Card Kit comes with the supplies to make three of each of these fun cards. The kit comes with detailed instructions with pictures so you can put them together like a pro - and if you've never stamped, no worries as the stamping is simple and they come together so quickly. You'll be totally amazed and proud of yourself for creating such beautiful cards in no time at all! And more than likely, you will even love the acrylic rain drops and dew drops as much as I do! **wink**
Project Details
My favorite image from the Pampered Pets stamp set was just calling me to play with the BONUS Spring Splash stamp set included with the March 2020 No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin Kit. So that is what I did!
Stamp the Spring Splash galoshes image with Basic Gray ink on 3" x 4" Basic White cardstock. Color with Dark Balmy Blue, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends by pressing firmly with the bullet tips for the large polka dots and pressing lightly for the small polka dots. Stamp the Pampered Pets dog image with Basic Gray. Color with Dark/Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Blends using Dark Balmy Blue for the collar. Stamp the No Matter the Weather puddles image with Basic Gray twice before reinking creating the generation stamped ground. Sketch the legs (with the kit card as a guide) with the fine tip of a Black Stampin' Write Marker and color with the brush tip. Color the sky with the Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker. Adhere the colored Basic White layer to a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" Basic Black cardstock layer. Emboss a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" So Saffron cardstock with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder. Adhere to the standard size So Saffron card base. Stamp the Count on You sentiment with VersaMark ink on a strip of Basic Black cardstock, cover with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and apply heat. Trim to fit across the layers. Adhere to two same size Basic Black cardstock strips for added depth.
The inside is just as important as the card front! The layers and stamping were replicated to compliment the card front. The Spring Splash sentiment was inked with Basic Gray. The envelope front and flap were stamped with the Spring Splash galoshes to carry through with the theme of the card while giving the recipient a sneak peek for what's inside.

Paper Pumpkin is a card kit subscription that is delivered to your mailbox after the 10th of the month in which you have no idea other than a few hints from Stampin' Up! as to what you can expect. The current Card Kit Collections include several retired, favorite Paper Pumpkin kits brought back (while supplies last) so you know what you're getting - no surprises like Paper Pumpkin. While supplies last, really?!? Yes, because when the kit(s) are gone, guess what?!? There will be some MORE new kits to choose from!
