Happy Friday! Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am hopping with the Crafty Collaborations team on the Kits Collection Blog Hop as we highlight the newest Kits that became available on June 1st! We love these kits and we know you will, too, especially after you see what else you can make with the kits after you have completed them. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
In June 2019, I fell in love with the Paper Pumpkin Kit, A Little Smile (click here to see where I made the kit), and now it is available around the world for everyone to enjoy!!!! This has been most favorite kit of all time! Why you might ask?! Look below and you can see for yourself!
These are the cutest cards that can be handed out to anyone that you see - the cashier at the store, your neighbor, the mailman, the delivery guy, the person held the open for you... you just might want more than one kit. But if you really love it, you need to remember that the kits in the Kits Collection are only available while supplies last.
You might even want to CAS(e) these amazing cards and create some of your own like I have. I decided to keep with the small feel of the cards and made mini slim line cards.
Two kit cards are in the above picture so you can see the size comparisons.
Project Details
The Dark Crumb Cake and Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends were used to create the above backgrounds along with the textured stamp in the kit. The colors were added after the edge was torn... I think coloring the layer and then tearing the edge would also make a lovely card.
Torn Basic White layer over the Crumb Cake layer for this one along with extra embellishments and labels were all that was used for this card.
The Basic White layer was stamped and off-stamped with the textured stamp that was inked with the Coastal Cabana Ink Spot included in the kit. The Crumb Cake layer was similarly stamped with Crumb Cake and the edge was torn. To add a bit of softness, I grabbed my sponge dauber that had been previously inked with Whisper White Craft Ink and rubbed it around in circles. The other elements are from the kit.
A Basic White layer measuring 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" was colored with Coastal Cabana and Old Olive inks using Blending Brushes to create the soft hued background. The embellishments were from the kit.
These two cards were created from the 3" x 11" strip that makes the slightly wider third slim line. Instead of folding it in half to create another mini slim line, the strip was scored at 4-1/4", folded and extra length was trimmed off. Of course, you could fold the extra length inwards and create a pocket for a gift card or tea bag (click here for details). The backgrounds were created with Light Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. The Timeless Tropical palm trees were colored with Stampin' Write Markers. Basic White scraps were used to stamp the sentiments with Paper Snips creating the fish tail edges. And guess what?!? This size card fits in the Printed Designer Box!!!

Beautiful card!!! I love the beach scene!! This goes well with the new Friendship seashell stamp set.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Annette! And, yes, this is coordinates so nicely with the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set that's been carried over to the Annual Catalog! :)
