Happy Saturday and welcome to my blog! I am so excited to be hopping along the Ink.Stamp.Share. Blog Hop today. This amazing group of talented Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world hop together twice a month. Today we are showcasing projects that we are working on to inspire you to create along with us. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
Earlier today I shared some mini slim line cards... horizontal top folding ones. Now I am showing a card using the leftover section that creates a 3"x 5-1/2" vertical top folding mini slim line card base. And, I'm keeping with the same adorable Anne Geddes inspired little one in a different color palette.
Project Details
On a 2-1/2" x 5" Basic White cardstock layer, the Wildly Adorable little one was stamped in Sahara Sand and stamped again on a post-it note to create a mask. The Daisy Garden stamp was stamped in Sahara Sand over the masked image using the Stamparatus. Using the Stamparatus for this beautiful background stamp allows you to reink certain areas of the stamped image, if needed.
Now all the fun begins! Coloring is so fun and relaxing especially with Blends! The stems and leaves were colored with Mossy Meadow. The daisy petals were colored with Daffodil Delight while the centers were colored with Soft Suede. The ground was colored to represent dirt and grass in the field.Little one's face and hands were colored with Light Petal Pink, the tufts of hair with Crumb Cake and the outfit with Granny Apple Green... originally on the cardbase, the outfit was colored with Mossy Meadow; however, little one would have never been found! A second image was stamped, colored and fussy cut which gave some added depth, too. The sunflower was stamped, colored with Daffodil Delight and fussy cut being careful to select a certain petal to cut along to cut out the center. This little one also has an extra face cut out and colored so little one's flower face is adhered with dimensionals for a special touch. If you look closely, the expression on little one's face looks like smirk more than a smile... I think this is because the face was slightly tilted unintentionally during the adhering process. **wink**
The Hydrangea Haven sentiment was stamped in Sahara Sand onto the Meadows Dies label which was layered over a Scalloped Contours Die label. The layers were adhered together and added to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. A doubled Crumb Cake Baker's Twine bow was adhered with a gini glue dot. The colored card layer was adhered to a 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" Sahara Sand card layer that was embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.
Aren't these little ones just too adorable?!? I hope they have made you smile at least half as much as they have made me smile to create them.
