Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - May 2021 | Fancy Folds

TODAY'S PROJECT

This Georgia Peach that has been transplanted in NW Ohio is sharing a her favorite way to gift tea.. peach tea, to be more specific!  This vertical top folding Mini Slim card has a pocket that holds an indiviually folded bag of tea for gifting, and, yes, you could slip a gift card or cash in the pocket, instead if you so wish. 

PROJECT DETAILS

The 3" x 11" Sahara Sand card base is scored with the paper trimmer at 3-3/4" on one end and at 1-3/4"on the other side.  The 1-3/4" section is folded and held down by the 1/2" White Faux Linen Ribbon wrapped around the card base and tied off with a side bow.  The branched leaves image was inked in Soft Succulent and randomly stamped on the 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" Basic White card layer. The multi-peach image was inked in Pale Papaya and sponged with Calypso Coral along one side of each peach and aligned and stamped amongst the leaves.  The layer was cut in two at 3-5/8", aligned on the card front and adhered with adhesive. 

The Tasteful Labels Die was cut once with Basic White cardstock and layered up with two additional die cuts from Basic White Thick cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped in Pape Papaya onto the Basic White panel and layered up with two additional Basic White Thick layers adding solid dimension.  The sentiment strip was die cut from Soft Succulent scraps with the sentiment being heat embossed with White embossing powder.  The larger peach was stamped like the previous peaches.  The leaves image was inked with Sahara Sand along the stem and Soft Succulent for the leaves - this was rather simple to do by stamping along the edge of the ink pads.  The die cut images were adhered to the card front as shown with liquid glue and dimensionals.

The inside was layered and stamped to coordinate with the card front.  The Sweet Ice Cream sentiment was stamped in Soft Succulent.  The bottom panel was intentionally left blank allowing room for a small note to the recipient.

The color palette coordinates with the tea bag packaging itself, don't you think?!  Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent are definitely the "herbal tea" colors with Sahara Sand as the large font spelling the brand name.  

Stamping a coordinating envelope along the front and the envelope flap always adds a finishing touch to your card presentation to the recipient.
