Today's Project
This transplanted Georgia Peach is focusing on the You're a Peach Suite Collection found on pages 60-61 in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Born and raised in Georgia, Georgia is always on my mind though I have lived in NW Ohio for almost fifteen years. I fell in love with the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper (AC2021-22, p. 134) from the start... and there are several sheets in the pack which can easily be recreated in minutes with the stroke of a water painter for those of us who love to paint.
Project Details
The horizontal striped You're A Peach DSP was recreated with Calypso Coral ink, the broad tip Water Painter and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. The remaining stamping and diecutting was done while this fun masterpiece dried. TIP: The Stamparatus and the Small Grid Paper helped with making the eyeballing of the brush strokes easier.
The leaf branch was inked with Pear Pizzazz and stamped on Basic White cardstock multiple times. The small grouping of peaches was inked in Pale Papaya and sponged with Calypso Coral then stamped on Basic White multiple times. The stamp was cleaned with a damp Simply Shammy before being reinked. The grouping of blooms was inked in Petal Pink and stamped on Basic White cardstock multiple times.
The stamped images were die cut with the coordinating Peach Dies. The dry watercolor paper was trimmed down to a standard card front size. Then the fun began! The die cuts were arranged to fill up the card front and were adhered with liquid glue. Overhanging pieces were trimmed off with paper snips.
The sentiments were each inked with VersaMark and stamped onto a scrap piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The sentiment panel was trimmed and adhered to the Faux Linen Ribbon with Tear & Tape Adhesive. The ribbon was wrapped around the back of the watercolor layer and adhered with tape. The sentiment panel was adhered to the card front with Tear & Tape and Mini Glue Dots allowing for maneuverability to align on the side.
The inside was stamped and layered to compliment the card front. Extras from the die cuts were added to the grouping along with heat embossing and a pop of Calypso Coral which was used to sponge the peaches.
