Hello y'all! I am so glad that you've popped by my blog. Today I am hopping with some Crafty Collaborators along the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop as we share projects along the spectrum of the color challenge inspired by World Water Day 2021! There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water or smoothie as we share some handmade projects with you!
Today's Project
It's the second day of Spring, the sun is shining and all things are fabulous! Our little household is one of a handful that are currently on a "water advisory"... yes, since yesterday. So this color challenge has a lot of meaning to me. I never realized how much I rely on refrigerator for ice and dispensed water until I found the note attached to our side garage door. A subdivision is in the utilities development phase so I am pretty sure this is all a part of it.
So since we have our bottled water, ice trays and bags of ice, I am ready to wait this advisory out for however long we need to. All things are possible when you have God by your side and talk to Him every day. I hope that you are remembering to stay hydrated wherever you are in the world. Water is such a vital part of our lives... and as the sentiment says "you make the flowers smell sweeter and the sun shine brighter".
Project Details
All Things Fabulous was the bundle that I chose for this project. The roses were created using three images aka Two-Step Stamping. The large rose image was tapped in Balmy Blue ink, stamped off on grid paper and then stamped on Basic White cardstock. This was repeated several times. The largest coordinating fill image was tapped in Misty Moonlight ink, stamped off on grid paper and then stamped on the previously stamped image. This step was repeated several times. The smallest coordinating fill image was tapped in Misty Moonlight ink and stamped on the twice stamped rose images. The three different styles of leaves were tapped in Night of Navy ink and stamped onto scraps of Basic White cardstock. All the images were ran through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating dies. The large detailed die was also ran through the Machine with a 2" strip of Vellum cardstock.
The die cut images were arranged on a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Basic White cardstock layer. Adhere the images with Mini Glue Dots. The sentiment was tapped in VersaMark ink, stamped and heat embossed on a 1/2" strip of Balmy Blue cardstock. The strip was punched with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.
The Night of Navy standard vertical top-folding card base was layered with Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue cardstock layers. The assembled Basic White layer was adhered to the layers. The embossed sentiment panel was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Clear Elegant Faceted Gems were scattered along the card front in a triangle representative of water droplets.
The inside is as important as the card front. Coordinating layers were replicated for the inside along with a complimentary heartfelt sentiment. And continuing with the theme, the envelope front and flap were stamped to give the recipient a sneak peek of what is inside.
