Hey y'all! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with some of my talented stamping friends from around the world who love creating with Stampin' Up!® products as much as I do! We love hopping on the second weekends of the month - Saturday or Sunday depending on where you are in the world - and love sharing lots of inspiration with you. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and relax with your favorite cuppa as you peruse the hop.
This month we are sharing things related to our theme of Love is in the Air. There are so many ways to show love... I have chosen to focus on lasting love!
Today's Project
My parents have a very special anniversary coming up in two weeks! It will be their 60th first date anniversary! Talk about love is in the air... that is LONG LASTING LOVE!!!
Their love was at first sight... and they still are very much in love. The inspiration for the card front was a wine bottle that sits on my kitchen counter.
Project Details
The Mossy Meadow cardbase was highlighted by an Old Olive card layer overlayed with Vellum cardstock. The Basic Black cardstock "label" was created by stamping the Forever Blossoms sentiment in VersaMark, heat embossing with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and tearing the the top and bottom edges.
The Always in My Heart sentiment was heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and die cut from the coordinating detailed heart die. A second heart was die cut to shadow the embossed heart.
And now it's time to open the card to see what's inside!
The inside is just magic!!! The detailed heart die was die cut from Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored with a damp water painter using Mossy Meadow with four of the 2020-2022 In Colors! The Basic Black banner Always in My Heart sentiment was heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Forever Blossoms sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Shimmery White cardstock and die cut with the label Field Tiles Die. The label die was die cut two more times - once in Shimmery White and once in Mossy Meadow - to give additional height to the label making it flush with the banner. The little nook in the label ended up being the perfect fit for the leaf from the heart die cut!
