Happy Monday, y'all! I'm so glad that you're here and hope you are excited about the start of a new week! Today I am hopping with some crafty collaborators along this Crafty Challenge Blog Hop as we share inspiration with you based on our interpretations of a sketch provided by Stefanie Pletscher. There are several of us hopping today - you will find the list to follow along towards the bottom of my blog post - so sit back and enjoy your favorite coffee, tea, water, or smoothie as we share some inspiration with you!
Today's Project...
It's that time of year where I am needing to make some birthday cards so today's Sketch Challenge was the perfect inspiration for me to create an original birthday card for someone special while using more of those fun Gel Press Backgrounds I created last month.
Project Details
The Wreath Builder Dies were used for my interpretation of ovals... two layers - one in Pear Pizzazz cardstock and one from a previously created Gel Press Background - for the two shapes. The 4" x 5-1/4" Soft Sea Foam card layer was embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to compliment the wreath layers. The White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around twice and tied off with a bow. The blooms were made from Basic White cardstock scraps that were colored with a Dark Petal Pink Blends Marker and die cut multiple times. The wreath and blooms were adhered to the cardfront with Mini Glue Dots while Pearl Basic Jewels were used as the bloom centers.
The tag was the second smallest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies which was die cut from the Gel Press Background. The Four Seasons Floral sentiment was inked in Sahara Sand and stamped on Gel Press Background die cut. The die cut was folded on the left side and tucked behind the Soft Sea Foam embossed layer. A blossom and pearl were added as the button element. The Braided Linen Trim was looped and adhered around the die to create the vertical banner strip element. The decorated card layer was adhered to the top folding vertical Soft Sea Foam card base with Foam Adhesive Strips and double layered (yes, to level them with the strips) Stampin' Dimensionals for a firm foundation for mailing.
The leaf image was also used for stamping the envelope front and flap.
