Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for February 2021! We are glad you have joined us and look forward to spending time with you as we share some projects related to our You've Got Mail theme with a specific focus on It's All About the Inside. So sit back and enjoy your favorite cuppa as you enjoy your trip Around the World on Wednesday!
Today's Project
Every time I hear the words "you've got mail" a smile crosses my face as it reminds me of the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks movie from 1998 that was released in time for Christmas... in fact, it was my birthday date night that year! The love and happiness that is felt while watching this romantic movie can make many of us dig down deep and feel all the feelings portrayed by these amazing actors. So the feelings from inside is what I chose to feature for today's fun card. I hope that you enjoy all the feelings (yes, I'm really pulling out the "it's all about the inside" in many ways!!!) that I anticipate the recipient will experience when the envelope is spotted amongst the junk mail and bills!
Project Details
Doesn't this donkey just put a smile on your face when you see his adorable smile?!? Don't you think the smile is also reflect in its eyes?!? I think so! With Valentine's Day coming up this weekend, my heart was feeling the love smile.... so the Pampered Pets hearts were just what this Darling Donkeys donkey needed. The hearts were inked in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamped on a 3-3/4" x 5" Basic White cardstock layer. Dark Real Red and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends were used to color the love hearts. The Peaceful Moments sentiment was inked in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock which was die cut with the smallest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. The Stitched Be Mine scalloped die was used for the bottom edge of the Basic Black cardstock layer.
And look at the inside!!! Lots of love, don't you think?!
The Basic White and Basic Black cardstock layers were repeated for the inside excluding the stitched kThe Kangaroo & Company envelope makes for a fun background along with a fun interactive pull feature with a sweet sentiment.
The Fancy Phrases sentiment was stamped on Basic White and trimmed down to fit the Basic Black Flowering Vines Die label die cut used to create part of the hidden "pocket" sentiment. The Darling Donkeys donkey shared his irresistible smile one more time on the bottom inside panel before making his final appearances on the envelope front (seen earlier in the blog post) and on the flap (below)! Can you imagine how many faces will smile when they see this envelope traveling across the postal lines?
