3rd Thursdays Blog Hop - January 2021 | A Sweet Sale

Happy Thursday, y'all!  Thanks for visiting the January 2021 edition of the Third Thursdays Blog Hop!  We've been having more family time together so cardmaking has been a little slim for me... until today!  I've been a roll since last night enjoying the new Fluttering & Floating Bundle along with some FREE stuff that I earned for purchasing it!  Sale-A-Bration is in full swing until the end of next month... so I thought it was time to play with some of the freebies that I've gotten.  So sit back and enjoy the inspirations on today's blog hop as we share this Sweet Sale with you!!  

Today's Project

I have been needing to make some sympathy cards, so I let the sunshine that we've had the past two days inspire me to create some cheerful cards that will lift the spirits of those that I love.  The Heal Your Heart stamp set which is a Level 1 earning from Sale-A-Bration has the perfect sentiments for several occasions and the fonts are so amazing!

Project Details

The sentiment  was heat embossed for added dimension as the card is all stamping except for the die cut center opening and the overlapping butterfly.  This is the last of the three cards (you can click here to see the other two cards) I created showing different layouts that can be created just by stamping with the largest cluster stamp in this awesome bundle.  All of the coloring is done with the fill stamps!  If you wish, you can color them with markers, water brushes and pencils... so many possibilities!

I created three layers - 1 stamped and 2 scraps - and die cut the center.  The stamped center was set aside for another card.  The sentiment was heat embossed on a piece of scrap Basic Black and was large enough so I could move the sentiment around for placement.  The layers were adhered to a Thick Basic White top-folding card base.  The die cut butterfly and pearls were added as finishing touches.

The inside was left plain except for the sentiment strip which was heat embossed to coordinate with the card front.

The center die cut that was saved became the focal point for this card.  The die was used again to cut a panel from a piece of the Oh So Ombre DSP that can be earned as Level 1 SAB reward.  The DSP was stamped with a sentiment from the new Enjoy the Moment stamp set.  The Basic White layer was embossed with the new Stitched with Whimsy Dies and adhered to a Granny Apple Green cardstock layer.  The Thick Basic White card base is horizontal top-folding.

And look at the fun card that you can create with the earned SAB DSP and the dies from the bundle!  You can just select a sentiment - this one comes from Fancy Phrases - and stamp it in coordinating colors.  I used Granny Apple Green and Blackberry Bliss to coordinate with the paper, and you might even choose to make ones with the Rococo Rose and Bermuda papers.  This is so simple and quick to make!  I did layer the die cut up with an extra die cut from scraps for added dimension.
