The Tag Buffet stamp set and Peace & Joy bundle have become my current retiring favorites during this holiday season of creating cards and gift tags for family and friends. Today's projects are the traditional colors of Christmas that I love decorating with as the deeper jewel tone shades of Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce are similar to the colors of my Christmas pottery.
The Tag Buffet images are so fun color! The possibilities are endless... in an earlier post, I shared the same concept in a wintery blue & white color palette (click here for details).
Just changing the direction of the images, swapping the colors or changing the layout can make all the difference in a project. Even the touch of twine (SNEAK PEEK ALERT!!!), yes, Whisper White Baker's Twine is back as part of the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, can make a difference!
And using the Blends to color the Basic Pearls as a finishing touch makes a difference, too.
The inside is just as important as the card front! In thinking ahead, the insides have plenty of room to attach a gift card. After taking the pictures, the 4-3/4" Shaded Spruce square card was attached to a 5-1/4" Cherry Cobbler card base for a better fill of the 5-1/2" square envelopes I used while allowing for additional space for correspondence to family and friends.
The design and layout of these cards can be duplicated rather quickly for multiple cards. The picture images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. The coloring can be done in 5-10 minutes (max). With the strip sentiments being stamped in the color of choice.
The Wrapped in Christmas stamp set (also retiring) was used on the envelopes along with the Tag Buffet images. This design led me to create some gift tags using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
With the addition of the Shaded Spruce ink, Linen Thread and Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding the tags are a wonderful last minute, quick item to make whenever you need something fast. Cut 2" wide strips of Whisper White and Shaded Spruce (approx. 1/4" longer) and tie together with the ribbon.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope that you have been inspired to get yourself busy making some seasonal cards with these incredible stamp sets that are a must have from the retiring list from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.
