In September, I watched a video by my friend, Mikaela, that totally was a joy to watch! She was using a stamp set that I did not have and thought I did not need. Well, I was wrong... thanks to her outside of the box idea that creatively inspired me so much - thanks, Mikaela!!! - I now have this amazingly fun stamp set from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog and am using it today!
These images from Tag Buffet (retiring January 4, 2021) are great for those of us who love to color! And they are definitely fun to fussy cut and to use as letters. Combining the images with other stamp sets like Peace & Joy (retiring), Wrapped in Christmas (retiring), and For Unto Us (carryover) makes for some rather special sentiments. Die cuts from the Joy Dies (retiring) and the So Many Snowflakes Dies (carryover) can also add some delicate touches with multiple layers.
Stamp the Tag Buffet (retiring) images in Night of Navy ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Color the stocking with the Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color the ornament with the Balmy Blue and Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Combo Packs and the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the leaves (x3) with the Dark Mint Macaron and Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Markers. Fussy cut all images and apply color to the sides with the brush tip of Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Marker. Fussy cut a second stocking and cut away the toe, heel and top trim. Apply edge color and adhere to the colored stocking. Adhere the images to a Whisper White Winter Snow (retiring) embossed layer. Adhere to a Balmy Blue layer. Adhere to a horizontal top folding Night of Navy card base. Stamp the Peace & Joy (retiring) strip sentiment in Night of Navy onto a scrap of Whisper White, fussy cut and adhere to the card front with Foam Adhesive Strip. Apply a touch of Wink of Stella to the ornament for a bit of shimmer, if you like.
Repeat the layers and embossing to continue the theme for the holidays. The inside sentiment from Wrapped in Christmas (retiring) is framed with a Painted Labels Die (2020-21 AC). Stamp the envelope and the envelope flap to create sneak peeks for what the recipient will find inside.
After making the fussy cut card, I decided to try my hand at stamping these images straight onto Whisper White cardstock. Using the previous card as a sight guide, the placement of the images was rather simple. TIP: Stamp the images on a scraps and cut roughly to use as placement guides.
Stamp the images in Night of Navy ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Color the stocking with the Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color the ornament with the Light Balmy Blue, Dark Night of Navy, and Bronze Stampin' Blends Markers. Color the leaves with the Dark Balmy Blue and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends Markers. Apply a touch of Wink of Stella to the ornament for a touch of shimmer, if you wish. Die cut the So Many Snowflakes frame (carrying over the current mini catalog to the new year!!!) from a second Whisper White layer. Adhere additional snowflakes to the diecut layer with adhesive. Adhere diecut layer to colored layer with Adhesive Foam Strips. Adhere to a horizontal top folding Night of Navy card base. Die cut the script sentiment (x3) and layer with liquid adhesive. Adhere the stacked to the cardfront. Stamp the strip sentiment in Night of Navy ink and stamp on Whisper White scraps. Fussy cut and adhere to the card front with foam adhesive.
Repeat the layers and stamping to continue the theme for the holidays. Stamp the envelope and the envelope flap to create sneak peeks for what the recipient will find inside.
