Welcome to the Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop! You are either starting here or coming from Danielle's blog. We hope that you are enjoying these special monthly posts as much as we enjoy sharing this time with you! This month we are focusing on Christmas!
One design, two different looks is what I had fun creating to inspire you this month! I love sending Christmas cards, so the more multiples I can make, the easier is for me to share my love of the season. And when I can make cards that are stamped the same, but look different... it makes me even happier!
Fussy cut holly groupings from the heat embossed Whisper White strip. Adhere the blended layer to a 4-10/16" square of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Adhere to a top-folding 4-3/4" x 9-1/2" (fold in half and burnish) Whisper White Thick Cardstock card base. Stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink, stamp and offstamp on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Repeat. Die cut the sentiments with the Ornate Layers stitched die. Adhere one off-stamped sentiment layer with dimensionals to the card front. Apply fussy cut leaves as shown with dimensionals. Apply three dots of liquid glue on the sentiment panel. Apply Flowers for Every Season Gems with the putty end of the Take Your Pick tool.
For the inside, punch a circle with scrap cardstock. Place the circle on the inside and apply ink around the edges with the Blending Brush. Remove the circle. Ink the Toile Christmas sentiment in Shaded Spruce and stamp in the center of the ink blended circle. Adhere fussy cut leaves with glue.
Once again, using the Stamparatus, place the small holly image in the lower left corner of a 4-1/2" square piece of Whisper White cardstock. Mark the corners of the layer with a pencil on the grid paper. Ink the holly image with Shaded Spruce and stamp by lowering the stamping plate. Raise the plate, turn the cardstock 45 degrees, ink and repeat three more times. Using a clear block, ink the small leaf fill image with Shaded Spruce, align and stamp. Repeat until all the leaves are stamped. Using a clear block, ink the berries fill image with Real Red, align and stamp. Repeat until all the berries are stamped.
Adhere the stamped layer to a 4-10/16" square of Real Red cardstock. Wrap a piece of Real Red Braided Linen Trim around the layers and tie off with a bow. Adhere one stamped sentiment layer with Foam Adhesive Strips straddling the linen trim. Adhere the layers with dimensionals to a top-folding 4-3/4" x 9-1/2" (fold in half and burnish) Shaded Spruce Cardstock card base. Apply three dots of liquid glue on the sentiment panel. Apply Flowers for Every Season Gems with the putty end of the Take Your Pick tool.
I hope that these cards have inspired you to try creating some of your own for the holidays! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania. She has another creative idea for you to try... you'll be inspired, I'm sure.
