I'm just an old-fashioned girl that loves to still write checks whenever possible. Too much of this electronic stuff makes me miss the touch and smell of the things that I've loved over the years. Last week, Benji had a grooming appointment in which he was ready to skedaddle the minute he knew where he was. So this card was made especially for Miss Judy to hopefully brighten her afternoon after the way it had started with the little stinker!
These mini slim line cards are perfect for delivering payments in this form whether it's in person or via mail! If you've been following me over the past few months, you know that I love the leaves and sentiments in the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. And my heart has a special place with the Pampered Pets stamp set, too, as I have had many a dog to look at me with that adorable tilted head expression.
Life is definitely better with Miss Judy as the long quarantine months of no grooming were no fun with how his hair so quickly! Benji and I both hope that this card brought a smile to her face!
Creating this card went rather quickly as the card base is Thick Whisper White and the stamping was done on the scrap piece. The dog and leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake. The oak leaves were stamped with the filler stamp using So Saffron. The maple leaves were similarly stamped using Cherry Cobbler. The dog was colored to resemble Benji's coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers using Light Basic Black (collar), Light/Dark Crumb Cake (fur), Light Pumpkin Pie (fur highlight), and Light Balmy Blue (sky). The sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake and fussy cut. The Crumb Cake layer was trimmed to fit from a scrap piece of cardstock (1/16" border).
The inside Crumb Cake sentiment expresses our appreciation of Miss Judy. The non-Stampin' Up envelope was stamped using Crumb Cake to compliment the card front.
