Thanks for stopping by and visiting the Third Thursdays Blog Hop! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is one week from today?!? I can't!!!! This year has seemed to be long one until this month which has flown by so quickly, but that's normal, isn't it? Time seems to fly by during this quarter of fun celebrations from kids in cute customs with their tummies full to candy, to table gatherings with friends and family, to tree lightings and sharing joy! We will definitely miss the big family gatherings that we are accustomed to, but are looking forward to what we will be able to enjoy during this time of the global pandemic. Come join us while you sit back and enjoy a cuppa as you peruse along today's blog hop for some Gratitude & Gatherings inspiration!!!
I am so thankful for my family. I have family near and far - scattered throughout the states. So to share my love with my family, I chose to create some note cards to send to them letting them know that I am thankful for them during this season of Thanksgiving. And as you will see, I had fun changing up the fronts of the cards so they will not receive the same card!
The Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes pack was the start of cards. Cutting eight card layers (measuring 4-3/4" x 3-1/4") from two pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock was how the fun began. Three layers were stamped horizontally while the remaining ones were stamped vertically.
The large leaf image was stamped in Soft Sea Foam ink and dabbed with a sponge dauber inked in Balmy Blue. The medium leaf image was stamped in So Saffron ink and dabbed with a sponge dauber inked in Calypso Coral. The small leaf image was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and dabbed with a sponge dauber inked in Gorgeous Grape. For the second small leaf image for the vertical cards, the image was dabbed a second time. **TIP: Clean your stamp with your wet shammy after each stamped layer to not color contaminate your Classic Stampin' Pads.** The Rooted in Nature sentiment image was stamped in Soft Suede ink.
Isn't the detailing of the photo corners and the stamped image a-MAZING?!?
Adhere the layers and the antiqued photo corners with liquid glue to the card bases. And once again, since note cards are being used, no stamping on the inside solely for the purpose of allowing more room for correspondence with family. Totally not me, I know, but every inch counts for these special cards going to such treasures of mine! **TIP: And don't forget to use a water painter for sealing your envelopes when you are sharing your handmade cards. **SWAP**
I hope that my project has inspired you in some way today. Please continue along the blog hop for additional inspiration!
