Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop - October 2020 - Happy Holidays

BURLAP POINSETTIA

Today's card is inspired by the texture of farmhouse style fabric decorations!  The mini slim line Sahara Sand card base is 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" scored at 2-3/4", folded in half and burnished with a bone folder.  The 2-1/8" x 5-5/8" Whisper White panel was embossed with the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder after the sentitment was stamped and off stamped on the right side using the Hinge Stamping Technique with the Stamparatus.  The panel was adhered with liquid glue to the Sahara Sand layer measuring 2-1/4" x 5-3/4".  A single strand was pulled from a piece of Linen Thread, wrapped around both layers and tied off with a bow.

The Textured Essentials stamp was off stamped onto a 3" x 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The medium sized poinsettia die was centered and ran through the Emboss 'N Cut machine.  The negative was set aside and saved for another card.  The poinsettia was stamped in Sahara Sand onto the die cut.  The berry sprigs were die cut from Vellum cardstock and adhered to the back of the poinsettia with mini glue dots. 
 

And for the inside, the theme was followed through with more layering and off-stamping using the smaller version of the poinsettia.  The 6-3/4 envelope was stamped to compliment the card and lined with Tasteful Textures DSP for a special cozy, warm feeling.
