You inspire me! Thanks for joining us today for another Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop! You are either starting here with me, Angie McKenzie, or coming from Danielle's blog. Are you enjoying these special monthly posts as much as we enjoy sharing this time with you?!? I sure hope so! This month we are focusing on World Dream Day which is tomorrow (September 25th) or today depending on where you are in the world!
A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work. -Colin Powell
Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. -Harriet Tubman
The above quotes from the Days of the Year information about World Dream Day are so spot on for dreamers. You have to have a dream... believe in your dream... believe in yourself that you can achieve it... and then make it happen. If you do not believe it can happen... it won't. So do not be your own naysayer as you will cross many naysayers that will do that for you. So stay positive and keep your eyes focused on your dream (goal). Believe.
I had a dream to become a blogger... a dreamer who wanted to share her card creations with the world... well, I never would have dreamt that when I created this blog that I would be where I am today. Part of my dream has come true so now I must work even harder to make it a reality. Believe me, it's NOT easy making dreams come true but with my motivation and determination, I know it will come true.
Silhouette Scenes, Rooted in Nature and the Playful Alphabet Dies worked perfectly together to create my dream inspired cards... and just in case you do not know, nature and God are all a major part of my dream!
The leaves were stamped in Crushed Curry, sponged with Garden Green using a sponge dauber and die cut with the Nature's Roots dies. The sentiment was similarly stamped on stitched banner from the Tasteful Labels dies. The leaves were adhered together with Mini Glue Dots and adhered to the Crumb Cake square layers. A piece of Braided Linen Trim was wrapped and tied around both layers just below the leaves before being adhered to the Thick Very Vanilla 4-1/4" square top folding card base. The Very Vanilla banner was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside and envelope were stamped to compliment the card front.
The card front panel was stamped by watercoloring the stamp with Garden Green ink using a water painter and the inside lid of the ink pad. A scrap strip piece was similarly stamped and used to die cut the letters for "BELIEVE" using the Playful Alphabet Dies. The stitched rectangle was extended to create a longer panel to adhere the letters. Linen Thread was wrapped around the stamped panel and tied off with a bow. The die cut panel was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The stamped panel was lightly glued to a smaller panel which was adhered to the card base. This allowed the raising of the stamped panel without using Dimensionals.
Once again, the inside and envelope were stamped to compliment the card front.
I hope that these projects have inspired you to remember to follow your dreams and to believe that you can achieve them! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania (click here)! She has a colorful idea for you to try... you'll be amazed, I'm sure.
