Morning Walk Inspiration for #CI83

The majority of my cards are inspired by nature... mostly things that catch my eye as I'm on my walks throughout the day.  My son doesn't hesitate to let me know that I have way too many nature and card  pictures on my phone as he scrolls through looking for a picture of his hamster.  **wink**  Today's card is no different!  The minute that I saw the amazing color palette for the Colour INKspiration #83 challenge I knew which picture would be my personal inspiration.

 

I am also CAS(e)ing a fun technique that I recently learned about at Splitcoaststampers!  So if you haven't checked out this awesome website, you really need to... it's where you'll find lots of amazing information, inspiration and papercrafters.  

The Four Season Floral stamp set from the 2020-21 Beginner's Catalog (p. 5) had the perfect stamp that I framed with a Swirly Frame stamp from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog (p. 125).  The floral was stamped in Bumblebee with the leaves and stem being inked with Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker.  The petals were colored using the faux alcohol coloring technique with Bumblebee.  The floral center was accented with the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker.  The stem and leaves were colored with the Dark/Light Mossy Meadow Blends Combo.  The circle frame was stamped in Mossy Meadow and filled in with the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Marker (aka Block Fill Technique).  The die cut Ornate Layers frame in Crumb Cake complimented the linen thread to which the heat embossed sentiment was adhered over with dimensionals.  

The inside features a smaller frame with the floral.  The envelope (not pictured) looks identical to the inside!
