Welcome to another edition of the Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop! The three of us - Tania, Danielle and myself - together hope to expand your creative inspirations - or INKspirations as I call it! You are either starting here or coming from Danielle's blog. We hope that you are enjoying these special monthly posts as much as we enjoy sharing this time with you! This month we are focusing on products from the New 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.
The new catalog is full of amazing new products to play with so I am sharing with you just a few of my favorites! The new Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is absolutely one of my favorite new stamp sets... there's nothing like fields or gardens full of sunflowers to make someone smile.
My brother and his girls pass this sunflower field every year on their way home... so tradition calls for them to stop and take pictures. This 2016 picture taken by my brother of the sunflowers is breathtaking, right?!? This is just one of many he's taken with and without the girls... so needless to say when I saw this bundle in the new annual catalog it was a must have for me.
The Many Medallions background die was used as an overlay to a watercolored background. The watercolor background was created with Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight with the medium tip water brush - one of three new amazing brushes available in a pack - on wet Shimmery White cardstock.
The background was dried with the heat tool to help move the wet ink around to create patterns. Next with the water painter rinsed clear of ink, it was knocked over an acrylic block to make water splatters on the paper which dried as water spots (the lighter smaller spots). The medallion overlay (which has an adhesive sheet on the backside) was placed over the watercolor background to determine which section of the background was to be highlighted. Once the background was trimmed, the medallion die was adhered.
The sunflower die which also cuts the stamped image was used as the background to the intricate sunflower die. The background was watercolored with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo using the detailed die cut as a guide. Once dry, the detailed die was adhered to the background. The layered sunflower was placed and trimmed prior to being adhered to the card front. The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on a scrap of Daffodil Delight and trimmed down to size.
The remaining section of the sunflower was added to the inside panel to continue the theme. The envelope was also stamped with part of the sentiment... something rather easy to do with an ink pad, ink spots or even Stampin' Write Markers.

I hope that this has inspired you to try some of the new products especially the new water painters for watercoloring with your cards! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania (click here)! She has another fun idea for you to try... you'll be amazed, I'm sure.
