There is nothing like getting inspiration for a design team member of the Global Design Project. This weekend I spotted the #GDP240 challenge and was totally inspired by Kerstin Kreis card with all the multi colored circles of Designer Series Paper, her stapled banner and my favorite sentiment stamp set from the January - June 2020 Mini Catalog that unfortunately is not carrying over to the new annual catalog. Only problem is that after creating a card last night for the challenge, I woke up crying thinking of a recently lost fur baby... I had thought of him when I saw Kerstin's rainbow colored dots but shoved the thoughts aside and made my golf card instead.
So here's to first impulses and second chances for my second CAS(e) of Kerstin's card.
Totally inspired by Kerstin, the new upcoming Annual Catalog and, of course,
my angel fur baby, Spot! Thanks so much for the amazing inspiration, Kerstin!

Here the dots were replaced with hearts... colors inspired by the colors of an upcoming suite in the new annual catalog, which believe it or not were the colors in Spot's color. The sentiment changed along with having a bit of an additional explanation for the sentiment!
Yes, this is a custom stamp that I had made several years ago from my favorite photograph of my much loved and missed companion. The burlap ribbon is a retired holiday ribbon from my stash.

The inside is layered to compliment the front and features the wonderful dog punch! The collar was punched, trimmed and colored with Stampin' Writes to look like Spot's collar. The torn edge adds a finishing touch to the correspondence layer.
I hope that this card has inspired to consider CAS(e)ing someone's card... sometimes a design can just trigger some ideas for you and get your creativity rolling. And while you're at it, don't forget to check out the weekly challenges over at the Global Design Project.
