This is one of my favorite times of the year when the newest edition of the Annual Catalog is about to be released. Preorders are being made by demonstrators, catalogs are being delivered in customers' mailboxes and excitement is contagious as we are seeing the new products! And the 2020-21 Annual Catalog is filled with some new delights to get your creative juices flowing!!!
Who doesn't love flowers?!? I love flowers so I was thrilled to see the Flowers for Every Season Suite! Today's card features the Jar of Flowers stamp set which features four amazing arrangements and two jars to be filled with their beauty.
The flowers were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a Whisper White card layer. Each element was colored with the Blends markers to represent a Spring bouquet. The two lower blooms were stamped, colored and fussy cut to fall over the edge of the heat embossed vellum vase. The fussy cut blooms were adhered with mini glue dots and a mini dimensional. The vellum vase was colored on the reverse side for a water filled effect. The colored layer was distressed with a retired distressing tool (TIP: You may use the inside edge of our paper snips to achieve the same effect). The upper right hand corner was curled inwards with a bone folder. A piece of the Just Jade 3/8" Gingham Ribbon (one of three ribbons from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack) was wrapped around the layer and tied off with a bow. Linen Thread was wrapped around the bow and tied off with two additional bows. A mini glue dot was affixed to the back of the gingham bow for stability.
The Forever Fern sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and die cut with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. The left edge was cut to be flush with the left edge and distressed to match. The sentiment layer was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimentsionals.
The Whisper White Greenery embossed layer (one of two embossing folders in the Forever Greenery Suite) which was adhered with liquid glue to the Crumb Cake vertical top folding card base. The distressed floral layer was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card base layers.
The inside is just as important as the card front. The embossing and distressing was continued to compliment the card front.
And don't forget to stamp the envelope the front and the flap as there is nothing like sharing a preview of what's inside with the recipient of the card.
