Nothing like an ink pad, an acrylic block, a water spritzer
and Thick Whisper White cardstock to create a fun smoosh background!
Daffodil Delight and Lovely Lipstick ink pads were used here with the Clear Block B.
And then once it's dry... cover it up with an intricate layer of Whisper White cardstock
created with one of the Poppy Moments dies.
Better, yet, make it THREE (3) layers the same size.
Then add some glue in the openings with the Fine Tip Glue Pen
and you have a lovely Stained Glass background.
As I mentioned last month, give me an Aqua Painter with some ink and
I'm a happy stamper! For today's project, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
and Lovely Lipstick inks were used with a damp brush tip to watercolor
the poppy center and the leaves.
A sponge dauber with Whisper White ink added some softness to the
Granny Apple Green Scripty embossed layer complimenting the watercolored accents.
A strip of striped Custom Artistry Paper aka CAP -
my term for recreating DSP that I love (read about it here) -
was created with the brush tip of a Dark Granny Green Stampin' Blends Marker
to add a touch of vertical color. Two fussy cut sentiments were adhered with glue
while the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon added a finishing touch.
Attention to the inside of the card and the envelope are always very important aspects in my card projects. Plus there always need to be room to write.... here the top panel showcases a diecut panel of my favorite CAP alternate II color palette mentioned in yesterday's blog post!
The remaining layers were all repeated just like the front.
Stripes were added to the Whisper White envelope front and flap adding a scrap piece of paper inside the envelope to make sure bleeding to another side did not occur.
