Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop - April 2020 - Gratitude

I hope you enjoy my project as we share things that focus on Gratitude! 

Inspired by the colors that are part of a Facebook colour challenge group, I decided to ink up the stamp sets that are part of the Early Release Ornate Blossoms Suite!  I have been wanting to play with these for several weeks now, but I have been having too much fun playing with some other current goodies.  You can't play with everything all at once, right?!?

Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizzazz just make you think of a late summer, early fall day... the time of year when we are so grateful for farmers as they are preparing for the harvest season.  And with the global pandemic of COVID-19, grateful is becoming more and more of an everyday word... grateful for the medical workers, grateful for the truck drivers, grateful for the groceries working extra hard to keep food, etc., on the shelves, grateful for the essential businesses that remain open and are practicing social distancing, etc.  Who are you grateful for during this season of "new normal" that we are going through together?

The top folding vertical Pear Pizzazz card base is layered with two Very Vanilla layers.  One such layer has an opening from one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  The Bokeh Dots stamp was stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto Whisper White cardstock with a minimal 1-2" border around it.  A  smaller Stitched Nested Labels Die was centered in the pattern and die cut.  The negative was adhered to the back of the Very Vanilla die cut layer.  Both layers were adhered to another Very Vanilla layer which was adhered to the card front.  The stitched label was offset and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The single daisy image was stamped four times with Saddle Brown Stazon Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  Two of the images were watercolored with a damp Aqua Painter using Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzazz.  One image was watercolored with Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz.  Once dry, the images were fussy cut and adhered to the label layer with liquid glue and glue dots.  Mini dimensionals were adhered behind the blooms.  A fancy linen thread bow aka a Billie Bow was adhered with a glue dot.  The sentiments were stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon Ink onto scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, trimmed accordingly, and adhered as shown with dimensionals.

And for the inside, the bokeh label was added along with the fourth fussy cut daisy and the perfect sentiment for oh so many people that I am grateful for!  And don't neglect the envelope front and flap as there is nothing like a preview of what's inside for the recipient.
