Welcome to another edition of the Global Creative INKspirations Blog Hop! You are either starting here or coming from Danielle's blog. We hope that you are enjoying these special monthly posts as much as we enjoy sharing this time with you! This month we are focusing on Friendship.
Creating cards to make others smile is my motto. And to do this during these unprecedented days during our lifetimes globally makes cardmaking even more special... spreading sunshine to others as we encourage each other to stay home and stay healthy. I am so grateful for the friendships that have developed through the shared love of stamping with others around the world. So sit back and enjoy this little hop with us when you get a chance!
This is the second card that I have created this week that is inspired by the lovely Marilyn Monroe's wardrobe in "Gentelemen Prefer Blondes". Inspiration is everywhere and the color combinations and lines of fashion in the 1950s was impeccable. So let's see if you can guess which outfit it was...
I absolutely love coloring the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog (it's RETIRING so get it while you can!!!). Stamping the image with Versamark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder was added in the center. Shimmer White Stampin' Emboss Powder was added to the corners and edges. Trying to go for a spotlight faded look, the heat embossed background was colored with Night of Navy, Highland Heather, Pretty Peacock and Petal Pink ink with a damp aqua painter in the white embossed areas.

I'll give you a hint... Jane Russell was wearing the Pacific Point polka dot outfit when Marilyn was wearing the Pretty Peacock, Highland Heather and Night of Navy outfit.
Granted after previewing the upcoming 2020-21 Annual Catalog yesterday afternoon,
a new 2020-22 In Color just might be a better match, but
for now, I've gone with this luscious color palette.

The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on a strip of Highland Heather and adhered to the embossed layer with liquid glue. A Vellum cardstock overlay was wrapped around the embossed Whisper White layer and adhered to the backside with Tear & Tape Adhesive. The embossed layer was adhered to a Pretty Peacock layer which was adhered to the vertical top folding Night of Navy card base.
And before you clean up your creative space, be sure to stamp the envelope front and flap for the recipient to look forward to seeing what's inside!
The inside was layered and stamped to compliment the front.
The Timeless Tropical floral was stamped off in Petal Pink.
The Good Morning Magnolia sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy.
I hope that this has inspired you to get creative with what you use for inspiration when creating friendship cards! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania (click here)! She has another fabulous idea for you... you'll be amazed, I'm sure.
