It's all about GREEN!!! MONOCHROMATIC GREEN is what you will see during this month's Kre8tors Blog Hop! Many of us have been busy creating projects for this fun color challenge so I am sure you will get your creativity boosted from this talented bunch of Kre8tors. Relax and enjoy a cuppa while you gather some inspiration as you peruse along the hop!
Inspired by the bushes along our property, I created a thicket for the adorable Peter Rabbit from Fable Friends. The branch stamp from Very Versailles was the perfect size to create the shaded opening for Peter to emerge from to greet us.
The branch was stamped in Mossy Meadow several times to create an arch on a Whisper White layer. The stamped layer was die cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die before it was fussy cut along the inside edge creating the thicket opening. Peter was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White. His jacket was colored with the Stampin' Blends Mossy Meadow Combo Markers. Then he was fussy cut with care.
The outer die cut border was adhered to the Mossy Meadow card base with liquid glue. The fussy cut middle layer was adhered to the card base with Adhesive Foam Strips. And Peter was adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. One thread of Whisper White Baker's Twine was pulled, wrapped around the embossed panel and tied off with a bow. The panel was adhered to the card front flushed to right as shown.
The inside is just as important as the card front. Both panels were stamped and die cut to compliment the card front. The bottom inside cut panel was switched to the top to allow for a personal note to the recipient. The top sentiment was heat embossed and fussy cut. All inside components were adhered with liquid glue.
And, of course, the front and back flap of the envelope were stamped to continue the theme.
