This past Friday was National Send a Card to a Friend Day. Did you make any cards to send to a friend? Well, I definitely had fun making some so here's a grouping of the ones I created specifically for this special day!
This past Friday was National Send a Card to a Friend Day. Did you make any cards to send to a friend? Well, I definitely had fun making some so here's a grouping of the ones I created specifically for this special day!
The cards were designed from a negative that was saved from another project... so thankful the cut out was actually centered on a card layer; preplanning for another project at its best, right?! This layer was stacked on top of another cardstock layer of the same size and placed on the Stamparatus for stamping the blossom image. The Stamparatus helped create solid images that may not occur with stamping on a level piece of cardstock.
The blossom image was centered on one side, inked in Sahara Sand and stamped. Turn both layers simultaneously 180 degrees - being sure the previously stamped imaged is aligned - and stamp the image again. Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla created a Sepia effect that is beautiful without adding color. Choosing to add color to one and not the other also made a difference for the two cards made with this fun 2-in-1 stamping technique!
Two different color ways were chosen for some variety along with 2 different ways of coloring the blooms and the branches. Do you notice the differences? Which is your favorite?
And remember that stamping the inside and the envelopes is just as important as the card front! Including both of these will create more smiles along with providing the perfect finishing touch to your creativity.
