We've been fighting the flu in our household so to be able to create today's card is indeed a celebration for me! Lots of sleep, rest and medications can get old, but not the few Hallmark movies I've been able to get sneak peeks of through my sleepless times. I am sure you are as ready for today's inspiration as I am, so sit back and enjoy this little hop with us when you get a chance!
Inspired by the upcoming 2nd release of the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, I decided to create a similar pattern with my Calypso Coral Reinker and the Frost White Shimmer Paint on Shimmery White cardstock!
Watercoloring is one of my favorite techniques so this was definitely fun to create!
With a tad of shimmer paint and one drop of reinker... mix with an Aqua Painter while diluting to the desired thickness and viola! With some grid paper as a backdrop and guide for line spacing, a background masterpiece is created!
The Calypso Coral cardbase is a top folding horizontal layout. The custom painted Shimmery White layer was the backdrop to the NEW Tags in Bloom Stamp Set that coordinates with the Label Me Lovely Punch. The florals and leaves were colored with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Combo Stampin' Blends Markers. The sentiment border was stamped in Gray Granite and the sentiment in Calypso Coral. The punched sentiment was layered on the fussy cut layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. The leaf sprigs from the Cup of Cheer Dies were the perfect filler. The Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was colored with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker prior to be wrapped around and tied off into a bow. The Basic Pearl Jewels were colored likewise.
The inside panel was painted and stamped to coordinate with the card front. The envelope front and flap were stamped as a sneak peek for what's inside. This card can definitely be massed produced in several different colorways!
