Hello and thanks for joining us for Kylie’s Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that have joined us today for this blog hop full of ideas and creative inspiration. We are part of a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world participating in a training program that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business while reaching for our individual goals. We greatly appreciate your support.
You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.
A week ago, I attended the OhMi INKspirations team meeting at my upline's home. It was a fun-filled gathering with lots of creativity that was much needed for this homeschooling mom! The highlight of the evening for me though was our card swap! I hope that my card for the swap inspires you in some way to use your dies for creating 3D aspects for your projects.
I was inspired by a home decor piece that I spotted last weekend while shopping for some last minute Christmas gifts! It was a wood star with little decorations in it! Needless to say, the crafter in me knew I could recreate what I saw, but even better than the mass-produced machine made inspiration. **wink**
The Merry Christmas to All sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Real Red cardstock and fussy cut to size.
CRAFTERS TIP: For my original card, the top star was adhered with Foam Adhesive Strips; however, while creating the multiples with a time constraint, Fun Foam was used with liquid glue... definitely a time saver!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and being a part of this hop with us! There is such an amazing line up of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world, and I know you're going to enjoy all the incredible projects you are going to see on this blog hop. So glance below at the December Blog Hop List - you are currently at my blog, Angie McKenzie - to see who is next as you sure don't want to miss one blog link!

What a great project! The black looks so good! Think you've inspired me to get out the black and see what happens. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much black and white inspiration here in the US during this holiday season... so I couldn't resist trying something with all the overflowing inspiration.
DeleteLove the deer in the star!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tania! :)
DeleteAwe Angie, look at how you put the Reindeer in the star, clever cookie! Lol.....Looove your cards today :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Melinda! As I was describing my card at the team meeting I also mentioned how hard it was to glue the star to the card front as it would make a lovely ornament or gift tag, too!!!! ;)
DeleteLove your cards. I love the non-traditional Christmas colours. I did mine in non-traditional using the Brightly Gleaming suite.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kylie. I felt that the pops of Old Olive were reminiscent of the gorgeous Green and Black Buffalo Check from last year while the pop of Real Red reached out to the Red and Black Buffalo Checks seen so much since fall.
DeleteLove this card, Angie! And look at you using black, red and green. Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad, Judy! Hoping it inspires you, too! Thanks so much for your comments.
DeleteGreat card Angie - love the contrast to the black - and yes reminds me of past DSP!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginny!
DeleteSuch a striking card! I love how you combined all the different elements in your design.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rhonda. It was definitely fun to create.
DeleteGreat card Angie, layers look so good!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl. There are definitely lots of them with this fun project! :)
Deletesuch a great card! love the colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Gillian! Definitely a different color palette to play with during the holidays. :)
DeleteI love using black in cards..... your cards are very striking, just beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they are all gorgeous! So glad I could inspire you. x
DeleteLove this. All the different elements layered up make this a beautiful card. Thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad, Libby. The layers were so fun to work with... thank you. And it's always a pleasure to inspire others. xx
