For this month's Autumn themed challenge designed by ME, Angie McKenzie, you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. I have chosen Leaves, Watercolour Smooching, Emboss!
Watercolor Smooching aka Smooshing is one of my favorite backgrounds to create! It is rather simple... grab a clear acrylic block, tap it on your ink pad, spritz it with water, flip it over and run it across your cardstock. And, viola! You've created a masterpiece!! (If you're having trouble visualizing this technique, click HERE to view my picture tutorial from an older blog post.)
Stamp the leaf in VersaMark onto a 2" strip of Shimmery White cardstock several times. Heat emboss with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. Die cut with the coordinating die from the Gathered Leaves Dies. Repeat the same process on the Crushed Curry background.
Cut a Crushed Curry layer measuring a 1/2" shorter on both dimensions than the card front. Trim the Old Olive background to be approximately 1/4" shorter on both dimensions than the Crushed Curry layer. Adhere the layers with liquid glue.
Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark and heat emboss with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder on a 2" strip of Shimmery White cardstock. Align the sentiment layer and trim to desired length. Wrap the Cajun Craze linen thread around the top and tie off with a bow. Trim the width, if needed. Arrange the three leaves as desired, adhere the bottom with liquid glue, and the top one with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere three self-adhesive antiqued copper Designer Elements to the sentiment layer as pictured and adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
And don't forget the inside... use the leftovers from the techniques to compliment the card front while leaving plenty of room for writing to the recipient!
I hope that today's project has inspired you to participate in The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge, #JOSTTT010. Please be sure to pop over to receive more inspiration from the other design team members and I look forward to seeing your entry (entries) on the blog!
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world.
Have a blessed day!
YOU CAN MAKE THIS PROJECT, TOO!
