Today is the Ninth Challenge over at The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I am thoroughly enjoying being a Design Team Member with this talented bunch of crafters from around the globe! We are all members of The Joy of Sets Facebook Group that is full of stampers sharing cards created with current and retired Stampin' Up!® stamp sets as well as stamp sets from other companies.
For this month's challenge designed by Fiona Whitehead, you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. I have chosen the far right vertical row of Numbers, Pink, Family but it could also be the far left vertical row of Love, Lace, Die Cuts!
Aunt Evelyn is my mom's only surviving sibling (Aunt Audrey and Uncle Jesse are our angels), so each birthday is a milestone in our family! For her 90th birthday, Aunt Evelyn wanted to ride a motorcycle. We helped her with this wish!
Coming from a family of huggers, it is only appropriate to send my aunt a hug for year of her blessed life! The shade of pink was picked as she looks gorgeous in bright colors with her beautiful smile and hair! The lace trim, which is a die cut, was selected to represent of love of memories. And if you notice the details... the lace even resembles hearts - and x's and o's - against the Melon Mambo layer!
The stamped images represent our loving, hugging family. And the rose... so many wonderful memories of days gone by!
Did you notice the stitching on the vellum banner? Such a fun detail to create to for a delicate detail representing Aunt Evelyn's sweet soft voice that has uttered "I love you, Angie" so many times over the years. She even made a sweet short video for my mom last week when she received her sister's birthday card saying "Thank you, Shirley, for the beautiful card. I love it. And I love you. I will always love you."
The layout of the card was inspired by the sketch from our double challenge with Try Stamping on
Tuesday #TSOT424.
My hubby still shakes his head over the number of times that my mom and I express our love for each other when he overhears our conversations. It definitely runs deep through our family blood line! We say "I love you" every opportunity we get as we never know when that one time will be our last. And our hugs are the same... Nothing like living life to our fullest every day!
And, here's the inside... the "can't believe you're another year older" represents her youthful beauty!
I hope that today's project has inspired you to participate in The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge, #JOSTTT009. Please be sure to pop over to receive more inspiration from the other design team members and I look forward to seeing your entry (entries) on the blog!

My aunt Evelyn turned 94 last week and unfortunately during all of my homeschooling preparation going on her milestone birthday slipped my mind until this past weekend. So thankful that these to incredible challenges motivated me to create this special card.
