My lovely friend, Tania Tobin, and I have teamed up together to expand your creative inspirations - well, INKspirations as I call it! And this month our little duo hop has expanded to a trio so you just might be coming here from Danielle's blog!!! We hope that you will enjoy these special monthly posts as much as we enjoy sharing this time with you! This month we are focusing on the Holiday Catalog.
I cannot believe that fall is here in the US! The weather has been so perfect and the leaves are starting to turn colors. So today is the perfect time to showcase one of the fabulous new stamp sets from the new Holiday Catalog that shouts out fall...
Cutting, scoring and folding the vertical Cherry Cobbler cardbase balances the hanging wreath that is swinging gently in the fall breeze as the Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green leaves and the Early Expresso limb sprigs float down to the porch (yes, use your imagination!)... The wreath is hung from the Braided Linen Trim (adhered to the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive) onto a nail on the porch siding (Very Vanilla cardstock embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder). Adhere a fancy Linen Thread bow (aka Billie Bow) to the braided wreath holder with a mini glue dot. Stamp and fussy cut the Garden Green sentiment before adhering to the wreath with liquid glue.
So you already know how to assemble the wreath, but here are the details for actually creating it. Stamp the wreath in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla with the Stamparatus for a precise image. Use the Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Cajun Craze watercolor pencils (from the 2nd Assortment Pack) to color the elements and then apply strokes of the Blender Pen to blend out the colors. Accentuate the acorns with the Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Markers Combo Pack. Color the vines of the grapevine wreath with Crumb Cake ink using a Blender Pen.
I hope that this project has inspired you to browse through the new Holiday Catalog another time or two to see how you can extend the life of the stamp sets! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania (click here)! She has a fabulous Christmas themed idea for you... so I know you'll love it.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world!

Seasonal Wreaths is the perfect addition to your fall collection as you can use it for more than one season! The sentiments are lovely and great for any occasion especially for birthday, thank you and "just because" cards. Pairing it up with the coordinating All Around Wreath Dies allows you to add some dimension to the stamps. The Gathered Leaves Dies also make a nice touch for falling leaves!
So you already know how to assemble the wreath, but here are the details for actually creating it. Stamp the wreath in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla with the Stamparatus for a precise image. Stamp the inside and color to compliment the card front... along with the envelope! Cut a second Crumb Cake / Very Vanilla layer (not pictured) if you plan on catching up with the recipient of the card and you need additional room for the updates. REMEMBER: You must never be short on writing space so always plan ahead, if needed!
