#JOSTTT008 Design Team Inspirations - August 2019

Today is the Eighth Challenge over at The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge and we're doubling up with the Double Trouble Challenge!!!  What does this mean?!?  It means that if you use our grid and their rules you can play along with both challenges!

Being a Design Team Member with this talented bunch of crafters from around the globe as been so much fun!  Each month we get to challenge our creativity with these wonderful grids designed by the team members.  We are all members of The Joy of Sets Facebook Group that is full of stampers sharing cards created with current and retired Stampin' Up!® stamp sets as well as stamp sets from other companies.  Needless to say, there is a lot happening in this amazing papercrafters group.

For this month's challenge designed by Kaylin Krawczyk, you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction.  I have chosen Yellow, Paper Tearing, Circle AND Circle, Emboss, School!  And I even made it so that it falls into the Double Trouble categories!

Double Trouble Challenge Rules: 

THING 1: Trouble Makersays, "Wheels on the Bus, Go Round, Round, Round".  Come around and  Sing-o-long and include something round on your project or create a round card.  
You can stop here ...  Or if you choose to use Thing 3 Sister's Twist below you're on your way to complete a TicTacToe row/column/diagonal of your choice to enter at Joy of Sets TicTacToe.      

THING 3: Twisted Sistersays, "Reading, 'Riting and 'Rithmatic has got me down - help me step up to the Board and include anything associated with school. (school, school supplies, teacher, bus, apple, etc.) in your project."  Food for Thought: Consider using one of these themes (Back to School, Teacher Appreciation or 1st Day of School).   
This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble's random prize draw if you include "something associated with school"  

Wouldn't this just be the cutest thing to leave on a teacher's desk on the first day back to school or any school day for that matter?!?  Such a cute little card to make and actually rather quick.

The card base was die cut from a Pineapple Punch 4-1/4" square cardbase using the largest stitched circle (the embossing part of the challenge) from the Stitched Shapes dies.  Be sure to let the die hang over the folded edge ever so slightly so the circle wouldn't completely cut (a circle card!).  The recently retired stamp set Perfect Pick was used for this school themed card.  FYI:  If you don't have this set, don't worry as a new apple stamp set is coming soon with a punch that will work just as well!  **SMILE**

The apple was stamped in Real Red.  Then it was die cut.  The sentiment was stamped with Granny Apple Green and fussy cut.  Everything was adhered to the card front with liquid glue.

For the inside, two Whisper White circles were cut from the Layered Circles dies for the inside with the sentiments stamped in Granny Apple Green.

The tearing part of the challenge is for the 3" x 3" envelope liner inside flap!  The DSP is cursive... so don't you think the teacher would appreciate this part since it would draw her attention to it?
