I cannot believe that another school year has started here in NW Ohio. This month's KIDS theme with my sweet friend, Tania, should give you some creative INKspiration for the younger ones in your life. So sit back and enjoy yourself a cuppa as we venture into another Global Creative INKspirations blog hop!
A kids theme can be looked at in several ways... cards for kids, cards made by kids, cards for the the young at heart. What else can you think of?!? At first, I started to think of all the fun back to school cards I could make, but then, I had an ah-ha moment... I'll show you an incredible layout that's so easy for a kid to make, but it's a card for kid! Actually it's a card that I've made for my son celebrating him and recent decision that he's made to be homeschooled!
Cut the Night of Navy card base to make a vertical side folding card. Off stamp oil splatters in Night of Navy onto a Whisper White cardstock layer. Die cut the gears in Smoky Slate. Die cut the classic car from Whisper White and use the negative image to align the stamp with the Stamparatus. Use the Poppy Parade Blends Markers Combo and Light Smoky Slate Blends Marker for coloring the stamped image. Adhere the car with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp the name onto Grid Paper and use to center on the cardfront. Line up the Whisper White layer with the name and stamp. Stamp an encouraging sentiment of your choice on the front.
For the inside, stamp away until your heart's content with whatever sentiments you choose to make the special kid in your life feel as special as they are to you!
Sign it with love and hug the kid when you hand them the envelope!
I hope that this has inspired you to use your dies and/or Blends Markers - and yes, they're perfect for the kids to use, too! Now, let's pop over for some more inspiration across the waters with Tania (click here)! She has an amazing card for you... and I know you'll love it.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world!
