Hello and welcome to the International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop today because of everyone who voted for me here where we made a card of encouragement for someone who needs a little pick me up. This is the card that many of you voted for that placed me in this wonderful group of demonstrators that I feel privileged to be hopping with today.
Today has been a hectic day for me here in NW Ohio so I'm scooting this card in just in the nick of time! I love this To A Wild Rose stamp set so much that I had try Faux Oxide Technique that I so love doing at the moment.
This picture taken on my property in late June inspired today's card...
The Faux Oxide technique was used on the banner AND the focal point rose. The Melon Mambo rose was fussy cut while an additional vellum layer used the die for the image. The Garden Green background was embossed prior to being die cut with the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to create the banner. The left/right edges were embossed to compliment the edging of the banner.
I hope you have been inspired by the project on my blog today. You are currently visiting Angie McKenzie. Please see the list below and hop around all of the other exceptional crafters on the list to see all our projects. You sure don't want to miss any!

Great card! I love all of it! Very inspiring! How did you do the lines of dots inside?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim! The Stitched Nested Labels Dies actually come with one long die that I used to embossed the edges. If you scroll up to the supply thumbnails above, you'll see that it's the 2nd die in the first column of the dies. I hope this helps! :)
