Today is the Seventh Challenge over at The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge! I am thoroughly enjoying being a Design Team Member with this talented bunch of crafters from around the globe! We are all members of The Joy of Sets Facebook Group that is full of stampers sharing cards created with current and retired Stampin' Up!® stamp sets as well as stamp sets from other companies.
For this month's challenge designed by Laura Awsom Geffert , you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. I have chosen the right vertical row of Twine/Ribbon, Die-Cut, Emboss.
Can you feel all the texture that is going on with this card? The Sahara Sand twine is twisted (as it was pulled and separated from the Night of Navy twine)... the top layer of the card is textured through stamping, the sentiment layer is textured and so is the cardstock peeking behind the die-cut! All of this is thanks to the new Tasteful Textures bundle and the Pinewood Plank Embossing Folder.
The twine was wrapped around the top layer and tied off with a bow.
Foam Adhesive Strips for added dimension...
the foam strips were colored with a Bronze Blends Marker
prior to adhering the top layer to the card base.
The inside of the card was stamped to compliment the card front.
The sentiment was stamped, trimmed and adhered with liquid glue.
Snail Adhesive was used to attach this layer to the inside card base.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world.
Have a blessed day!

I adore this card Angie - I can see all that texture in the card and I love the way you've used the cut outs -

ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Anne-Marie! It's my pleasure. I absolutely this stamp bundle! xx
DeleteWhat a beautifully elegant and apparently simplistic card (I know it isn't and a lot of work went into it). I can't believe we're at blog 7, soon to be 8 already! Time has flown.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrea! Time does indeed fly by when we're having fun! xx
