Thanks for visiting the July 2019 edition of the Third Thursdays Blog Hop! Can you believe that it's already time for us to start getting a head start on our cardmaking for the holidays?!? Tell me it isn't so, but nature is definitely reminding me that it's that time of year. Today's blog hop is all about Christmas in July!!!
The Queen's Anne Lace in the above picture reminds of a snowflake that has just landed ever so gently on the ground. And, of course, the red berries remind me of blooming holly. So have you guessed which stamp set I've decided to showcase today?!? I'll give you three guesses! :)
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
For those of you that guessed Lots of Cheer, you're correct! **wink**
Piecing the snowman made of packages was quite a bit of fun (and very time consuming!) and worth every minute spent of creating it! Every element was stamped on the desired DSP, fussy cut, layered and adhered with Liquid Adhesive and/or Glue Dots to the Whisper White layer. The sentiment was stamped and off-stamped several times around the snowman to create the background. The Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo was the finishing touch to this layer to tie it all up like a package itself. The DSP layers on the card front are the actual DSPs used for the hat and the packages. The Mossy Meadow linen thread was wrapped around the hat just like the stamped image.
The nose was colored with a Dark Calypso Coral Blends Marker while the scarf was colored with the Mossy Meadow Blends Markers Combo.
The inside sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow while the strips of DSP were layered to compliment the card front.
I hope that my first Christmas card of the season has inspired you in some way today. Please continue along the blog hop for additional inspiration!
