Have you ever known someone who has always encouraged you... or has always been there for you? Most of us have and today's card is for that specific person in my Stampin' Up! life - Kylie Bertucci! I started following Kylie's blog four years ago after Brian King mentioned his Aussie friend and that "you" (referring to me, of course, and his ever growing fan base that enjoys his humor) should go check out her website. Well, I did, and I was intrigued by her modern flair to stamping vs my more traditional flair.
Fast forward two years, not only was I getting my daily dose of laughter from Brian AND Kylie... I was in Kylie's Random Act of Kindness Card Group and getting actively involved as an Admin (who would have ever guessed that would have happened - not me!). Fast forward one year (which was 2018 by the way) and I was telling Kylie "thank you" from the bottom of my heart for helping me take the leap of faith to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Yes, Kylie Jo - it's been the best decision ever!
And then just this past month (May 2019), Kylie celebrated her 10-year Stampaversary!!! What better way to encourage and celebrate the one that's encouraged me so?!?
I knew that Good Morning Magnolia (available to order June 4th) had to be used for this amazing friend across the waters... as it is so me! Magnolias are quite symbolic in the Southern United States. I'm a Georgia peach and they are everywhere across the deep South from South Carolina to Texas. It is such a beautiful fragrant bloom representing beauty, perseverance and joy. There are fossils that indicate that the magnolia has been around since the beginning of time... And in some cultures, it represents the love of nature.
The Crumb Cake card base was randomly stamped with the leaf stamp along the left margin in Crumb Cake ink. The large bloom image was stamped off on Shimmery White cardstock with Crumb Cake ink. The layer was adhered to a Crumb Cake layer with liquid glue. Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (the color of the lovely white magnolia leaves and available in the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack) was wrapped around the lower right corner several times and tied off with a bow before being adhered to the Crumb Cake card base with Foam Adhesive Strips and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The Strong & Beautiful sentiment was stamped off to coordinate the bloom layer and adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside was stamped off to coordinate with the card front allowing plenty of room to write a special message.
I would love to know what you think about today's card for the ENCOURAGEMENT theme this month on Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up!® Blog Highlights! Please feel free to leave your comments below.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world!
Have a blessed day!
