Today is the Sixth Challenge over at The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge! This design team that I am so excited to belong to consists of a talented bunch of crafters from around the globe and they have helped me to challenge myself with all of these wonderful tic tac toe grids! You should check out the group we are all a part of when you can... The Joy of Sets Papercraft Facebook Group has lots of stampers so there is always something going on to keep cards and scrapbooks pages flowing through inspiration.
For this month's blog challenge designed by Sandra Mastello, you can select any three of the design elements in a row on the board going in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. I have chosen two directions (no surprise, right?!? **big grin**) - Pattern Paper, Banner, Floral AND Ribbon, Banner, Bling!
The new Bloom & Grow Stamp Set has so many coloring possibilities... so I selected one of them for today's challenge - BLENDS! Three shades of green were used for the greenery. Two shades of blue for the berries. One shade of pink for the flower petals (colored like my favorite dogwood blooms) and one shade of yellow for the flower centers.
The Stamparatus was used to get the floral image stamped perfectly at just the right angle. Momento ink works best when using Blends to prevent smudges / smears. And be sure to color small areas at a time to get the perfect colors.
The jaunty angle allowed for a relaxing fussy cut edge... BUT the coordinating die from the new Budding Blooms dies could be used if you prefer to not fussy cut. **wink** After the edging is complete, texture can be added with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
The new Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper was cut and adhered to the Thick Whisper White card base. Wrap Whisper White Baker's Twine (ribbon to me!) three times around the textured layer and tie off with a bow. The "hello banner" uses the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies! The sentiment is one of five great sentiments from the Bloom & Grow stamp set. Color the bottom layer with the three green Blends Markers to match the floral greenery. Adhere the banner pieces together with liquid glue and adhere to the textured layer as shown with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the textured, fussy cut panel to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Let your creativity lead the way to the bling like these Gingham Gala Self-Adhesive Sequins.
The inside is #simplestamping at its best by using complimentary single stamp from the set!
This was such a fun card to make, I chose to replicate it several more times to share with my VIP customers along with their copies of the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! And yes, for simplicity's sake, the multiples used liquid glue vs Stampin' Dimensionals when the fussy cut layer was attached to the card base. Definitely a time and cost saver!
I hope that today's project has inspired you to participate in The Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge, #JOSTTT006. Please be sure to pop over to receive more inspiration from the other design team members and I look forward to seeing your entry (entries) on the blog!
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world.
Have a blessed day!
