Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! You are currently visiting Angie McKenzie from the USA. This is my first time to participate in this blog hop which consists of an AMAZING group of talented, international Stampin' Up!® demonstrators. I hope you enjoy my project today as we Focus on Tools!
Stampin' Up! has so many wonderful tools for stampers/papercrafters to use... stamping tools, coloring tools, cutting tools, die cutting tools, embossing tools, embellishments, ribbons, AND ink and paper! The new Annual Catalog is like a dream come true for the avid and/or casual stamper... it's an idea book AND supply book all wrapped up into one. I LOVE just sitting down and flipping through the pages. A beginner stamper might feel a bit overwhelmed by this awesome catalog so the Beginner Stampers brochure would be more appealing.
For today, I designed a card that focuses on the most important tool of all - well, at least to me - which exemplifies my love of Stampin' Up! It's a tool that most people don't think about when they think of tools, but for this color inspired creator - it's the bomb! Have you guessed what it is, yet?!
The tool of COLOR-COORDINATING PRODUCTS!!!
On pages 162-164 of the AC, you can find the basics of all of the color products... but that's just the start. As you continue to flip the pages, you will notice that all the coloring tools, the paper products, the ribbons, the embellishments, etc... everything color coordinates! It's a designer's dream!
The card features TWO colors... two different color cardstocks and two ink pads. The new Two-Step stamp set, To A Wild Rose, is also Distinktive™. The Distinktive™ images give you the appearance that different colors/shades.
The Stamparatus was used to stamp the roses along the right side of the card front. The design of the Stamparatus allowed the plates to be moved down two hinges (aka the hinge-step technique) to stamp the repeat designs. The Clear Acrylic Blocks were used to stamp the leaves and front sentiment.
This stamp set coordinates with the Wild Rose Dies; however, the elements were fussy cut with Paper Snips that you could die cut (excluding the sentiment).
The 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon is color-coordinating special touch to the card.
The inside replicates the same design aspect of the card front.
But wait, that's not all! What about the envelope? Well, Stampin' Up! has those, too, and they feel delightful to the touch. **swoon**
The envelopes allow more room for - you guessed it - STAMPING! The envelope is like a bookcover... it's a sneak peek of what's inside as it protects. And if you know there is precipitation in the air either where you are, along the snail mail route, or the recipient's mailbox, then you would want to keep it safe in the clear envelope.
And the inside of the envelopes are perfect for any coordinating DSP (Designer Series Paper) or the new Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock that is shown here. You just need to use the Beautiful Layers Die to shape the top of a 6"x 6" sheet of lightweight cardstock or DSP.
I hope the color-coordinated stationery items you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. You are currently visiting Angie McKenzie. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don't want to miss any!
