There's nothing like the summertime to create memories... and there's nothing like a graduation to flood those memory banks! This image from the Heartland stamp set is one of my favorites of all time as it is so reminiscent of days gone by with my fifteen year old. It seems like yesterday that I was following him around with my camera in hand taking similar pictures. So for today's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop, it is my intention to inspire you to start coloring some memories of your own for a graduate you have in your life.
And now, let's get on with today's card! This card was one of three that was created one afternoon last week during one of our summer rains. There's nothing like a rainy afternoon to get you wanting to color!
The Shimmery White cardstock was originally cut to fit a full size card front, so it was cut down to fit this 4-1/4" square card. The sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays was also stamped in Memento ink onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock which was adhered to the colored layer with liquid glue. The Braided Linen Trim was wrapped around this finished layer two separate times and adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesive before it was adhered to the card base with liquid glue.
The inside was created to compliment the card front. The image was centered and stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The sentiments from Itty Bitty Greetings were stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock scraps. The lower 4" square panel allows plenty of room for a sweet note and signatures.
