Happy Free-for-All Friday, ya'll! There's nothing like using die-cut negatives to create a masterpiece... today's card uses the leftovers from a practice run that I did for a previous card that I posted (you can see it here).
The scraps were just too pretty to toss in the trash... so while creating the previous card, the die-cut negatives were glued to the Whisper White cardstock and set aside to be used another time. Finding a vellum scrap that was intended for another card but decided against using it... well, it was perfect to go over this lovely design.
And, then the leftover sentiment banner from the previous trial run was found. Too much glue behind the embossed sentiment made me put it to the side as it stuck out as a big blue blob. But yesterday while going through the bits, an idea flashed before me so it landed on this card. Once the too much glue blob had dried for days... it was easy to pry away from the cardstock base. And since it's used as an overlay, no one will ever notice that this was once a crafter goof.
And guess what?! The inside even used a scrap... that was a smidge, too short, but my watercolor pencil and Blend marker quickly corrected that little bit of white. So there was no cutting or stamping for today's card except for the inside sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays and the envelope, of course (not pictured - sorry)!
