Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I enjoyed an extended weekend thanks to Stampin' Up!® Being a stay-at-home mom keeps me home quite a bit, so I was thankful when our DDM (Demonstrator Development Manager), Jessica Werner, organized an Ohio Demonstrator Business Gathering in Columbus. It was so good to get away from my normalcy and visit with like minded demonstrators! And when we travel, what do we take with us? A Little Smile (the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit), of course!
Here's a picture that I shared on Instagram on Friday before driving down. I was a wee bit excited!
We started the day with a meet and mingle and I was busy looking around for demonstrators that I recognized. I was beyond excited when I got meet in PERSON a dear RAK pen pal who challenged me creatively two summers ago before I became a demonstrator. Kim is such an amazing person and I am sure that her customers adore her as much as I do.
Throughout the afternoon we had several demonstrators speak and a fun ice breaker that had several of us laughing as to how we were divided into groups. Jessica was great with breaking us up from our comfort connections and making us branch out... thanks, Jessica! I got to meet seven more amazing women from the state and believe it or not, several of them, I saw when I was in Orlando!
The wow moment of the afternoon was when Linda Bauwin spoke to us. I have followed Linda's blog for years so I was excited to see and learn from her in person. She is another amazing Million Dollar Sales Achiever who is so inspiring!!! I spoke with her afterwards and was so excited to hear that she is getting ready to go to Greece so she'll be cruising around with some of my friends who worked really hard to earn this upcoming trip!!!
After relaxing for a while and eating dinner - I had part of the best pizza ever! - I decided to get busy with this month's Paper Pumpkin kit! It is such an amazing kit and was absolutely perfect for me - the theme (SMILES and small RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS!!!) made me melt. And I completed them all and have plenty more embellishments and the stamp set, of course, to make more cards!!!
And, oh! The crafting was interrupted due to an emergency so we all had to evacuate so there was nothing like running into Jessica and my upline, Chris Smith, during the fun! Definitely a memorable experience! :)
