Thanks for visiting the June 2019 edition of the Third Thursdays Blog Hop! It's official... SUMMER IS HERE (as of tomorrow!) and so is the incredibly AWWWWW-SOME 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. Today's blog hop is all about Getting to Know the NEW Catalog!
Being a demonstrator has it benefits as you can preorder items before catalogs go live to the general public. Sometimes your patience gets tested as you wait like everyone else does to order that certain item you really want. Today's card features some of those products that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on, but like you, I had to wait until the catalog went live before I order them!
My first two must have stamps that I just had to have once the amazing new Annual Catalog went live were Here's a Card and Beautiful Friendship... I would have flown to Utah just to get them I wanted them so bad! Why?!? The Here's A Card stamp set has so many sentiments that coordinate with each other for both the front and inside of our wonderful handmade cards. And then there's Beautiful Friendship... who wouldn't want this stamp set from the name?!? Well, it's not just the name, but the incredible floral images and sentiments. More florals you ask?!? Not just any floral, but a hydrangea!
I LOVE HYDRANGEAS!!! I have them in my kitchen all the time in my special "Fresh Cuts" jar from a friend. So when I saw this new stamp set, I knew it had my name all over it. **swoon** This bloom would be gorgeous to stamp in Soft Sea Foam with Granny Apple Green leaves and Highland Heather blooms... but I did not go that route today.
I went with more muted blooms... a delightful mix of Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray from the NEW 2019-2021 In Color Collection! Ink pads were dabbed onto the Clear Block F and mixed together until I got the color I was looking for. The color was actually a luscious purple color while wet. Drying on the Shimmery White (which is more ivory than white) made it more muted than vibrant. The color mix would have been totally different on Thick Whisper White; however, the shimmer from Shimmery White was the backdrop that I wanted for these lovely blooms.
The background was stamped and off stamped with the hydrangea bloom with Soft Sea Foam onto the Shimmery White card front layer. The purple blooms were painted with the custom color mix using an Aqua Painter and stamped as shown. The sentiment was painted likewise onto a 1" strip of Shimmery White and then trimmed down to size. Linen Thread was wrapped around the left end of the sentiment strip five times and then tied off with a bow. Three Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added as accents to add another touch of glimmer.
The inside was finished off with a Soft Sea Foam bloom and the perfect sentiment for a special friend.

Angie, I just love how you used this stamp set! Beautiful Friendship was at the top of my list as well and now you have me wanting Here's a card. I love how we can all encourage (or enable) each other. Haha! That trio of the new In Colors are GORGEOUS together, too. Thanks for inspiring me as always! Hugs!
