Adieu and Whew! - 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop - May 2019

Thanks for visiting the Third Thursdays Blog Hop!  Summer is just around the corner so it's almost time for the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog to go live!!!  The catalog is so amazing with lots of changes on the horizon, but first we must say "adieu" and "whew, so glad you're staying" to a few much loved stamp sets... 

The amazing Lovely as a Tree has decided to retire...  it has been around since 2001 and will be missed dearly.  The incredible Rooted in Nature and Winter Woods will have some big shoes to fill as they carryover into the new catalog.  Today's cards feature the Lovely as a Tree and Rooted in Nature sets.

Last night's sunset led to the creation of one of these cards!

The sunset was created with sponge daubers along with two of the
new 2019-2021 In Colors - Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose.
The hills were etched with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
with a tad of color added with Mint Macaron sponging.
The Rooted in Nature sentiment was stamped
in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and fussy cut.

Created as an inspirational sympathy card,

the inside carries along the theme.

For the second card, the scene was colored with small, light strokes using Highland Heather, 

Rich Razzleberry, Granny Apple Green, Mint Macaron, Garden Green, 

and Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Markers.

The vellum overlay adds a touch of softness for the blossoming trees.

The sentiment was stamped in Mint Macaron and fussy cut.

Burlap Ribbon was trimmed and added as an accent.

The inside leaf was off stamped in Mint Macaron.

The sentiment was stamped in full strength.
