There's an awesome Tic Tac Toe Challenge happening over at #JOSTTT002 this month... so much so that I couldn't just stop from making more than one card when I was creating my Design Team inspiration. :)
The fabulous Ribbon of Courage stamp set is so inspirational to play with and the detailed heart is perfect for inspirations of the heart during this month of love. This is the card that I submitted as my "Emboss, Pearls, Pink" inspiration for the challenge.
And here is another card that would clearly fit the same description, don't you think?
If this doesn't scream "Emboss, Pearls, Pink" then I don't know what would... lol. This card is a just a reverse of the previous card except for the embossing on the vellum. I also opted to not add color to the vellum as I just wanted to keep it simple with pink and white.
After having attached the frame layer with Foam Adhesive Strips, I realized that this would have made a lovely shaker card. So I will definitely try that for another card as this was just too fun to create.
I never thought that pearls could twinkle until I captured this image of the card as the pearls caught the reflection of the daylight coming through the window. Don't they appear to twinkle like diamonds?!?
Did you notice the differences between the thicknesses of the frame layers between the cards? To camouflage the adhesive strips, I pulled out the ol' trusty Dark Lovely Lipstick Blends Marker so the strips wouldn't stand out as much. The same frame on the previous card was adhered with Tear & Tape Adhesivce making the card more mailable minus the addition of the pearls. For mailing, I always insert a piece of Dish Packing Foam to protect them through the mail. Other alternatives, are (1) turning the card inside out or (2) inserting a piece of embossed cardstock, cardboard or bubble wrap.
For the inside, I simply stamped the detailed heart in Lovely Lipstick.
