Hello and welcome to the International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop today because of everyone who voted for me here where we made a Thank You Shelli Gardner card. This is the card that placed me in this wonderful group of demonstrators that I feel privileged to be hopping with today.
After I submitted this card, I was on my way to Orlando for OnStage hoping that just maybe I might get to see this incredible person. Well, I was blessed enough to meet Shelli plus share my dream of being a demonstrator with her. Here's a picture of us together that I will always cherish.
One of the highlights of the event featured how Stampin' Up!® looks at each and everything that they select and/or create for us demonstrators to sale to our customers. It was amazing to hear about the direction that they are going... and how they look at stampers. They have established three types of stampers: Beginner, Casual and Avid. So as another thank you to Shelli Gardner, here is my take on using the current Limited Edition Snow is Glistening Stamp Set to represent the three types of stampers.
All three cards used the exact same stamps, ink and cardstock. Can you guess which cards belong to which category? Let's take a look!
A BEGINNER STAMPER usually wants something simple and easy to reproduce. They only want to use the simplest of materials. And the first time they see what a stamp and some ink can do they are like "WOW!" They are amazed that they actually a card! This card features the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes. This along with an ink pad, a piece of baker's twine, the stamp set and a few clear blocks is all that is needed.
The CASUAL STAMPER likes to stamp for occasions and have tools that are multipurpose. So this card represents how a stamper can use the Stampin' Trimmer to create cards from cardstock vs the ready made cards that Beginner Stampers love. Liquid Adhesive, baker's twine and Stampin' Dimensionals are all items can be used along with the trimmer for many other projects around the house.
The AVID STAMPER is one who stamps fairly often and has to have pretty much everything that coordinates with a stamp set. The card features the Snowfall Thinlits Dies. Not only were the positive images used, but the negative images were used as stencils to create additional snowflakes just by adding ink with a sponge dauber. This also features all sorts of layers and stamping... the more the better! And of course, as an afterthought, a few pearls would have even made a nice touch.
The inside sentiments are all the same... the extra stamping is what makes the differences between the types of stampers.
I hope you have been inspired by the projects on my blog today. You are currently visiting Angie McKenzie. Please see the list below and hop around all of the other exceptional crafters on the list to see all our projects. You sure don't want to miss any!
